Well first off, could you please keep a question to 1 thread in 1 section?
Secondly, open it up, look where the screws are on the heatsink, they are probably pretty standard. The bracket will most likely be proprietary, but a lot of heatsinks come with aftermarket backplates and adapters for different sockets, and I'm sure you could find one that would work. Be careful though find one that includes the backplates, and a heatsink that isn't very tall, the 4600c isn't exactly a large computer with room for a massive heatsink.

ok i dont see any screws and i cant figure out how to take out the motherboard can anybody get me some instructions for that as far as the screws all i see are 4 white dots in the corners and i looks like the heatsink has to snap in there and instead of brackets hooking on the outside they snap in on the inside of the plate can you help with that

ok but now i cant figure out where either the screws are or the clips i only see one screws but i doesnt seem to attach anything but then i have to deal with getting the motherboard off of the metal tray and for your second ? i need a heatsink because i got a faster processor and a dell rep told me i should upgrade my heatsink said all 478 heatsinks will fit but i read there mounting brackets are proprietary so i figured i can just change the brackets without knowing it was going to be such a hassle and without knowing i cant just use any old heatsink
