Need boot cd with os to del running programs.
Hi there.
I am a PC tech, but not a programmer, i need a cd that boots and runs a program like dos where i could delete copy files from my hard disk without the share violation etc, which supports fat16, fat32 & ntfs.
An iso, or better yet files zipped togather with instructions i have Nero extreme, and uploaded to Rapidshare or Megaupload(prefered) would be great.

Enable BSOD: Control Panel/Systems, Advanced Tab, hit the Settings button under Startup and Recovery, and under the System Failure area, uncheck the Automatically Restart checkbox.

Any Linux Live CD or DVD can do it.
Fat16 and 32 partitions have no inbuild protection but ntfs partitions do.
To delete protected partitions the user needs to be in root (equivalent to admin in Windows). All Linux Live Cd permit the user this mode but some boot directly to root (Slax family distro) and mount the partitions automatically. Most of the uitility type Linux CD, probably Systemrescuecd, do that too.

Thanks in advance.
JohnDowe.
Without share violation.
I don't think this is possible with Linux.
I am not sure this is possible with Windows also, but I am not sure.

John, please read the forums rules-- you do not get to have a signature yet, not even appending your name to the bottom of your posts (as if we didn't know who you were, considering each post has you name at the top of it).
Also, we neither allow nor condone illegal downloading, so please refrain from providing links of that sort.

Hi there.
What signatures?
As for the: "hi there" at the begining and the: "JohnDowe." at the end, i ALWAYS do that everywhere i send messages, my trademark as it were.
And, sorry about the links i wasn't thinking about copyrights but helping others that may be in a similar situation.
But piracy is a good thing, do you think win vista extreme is(was) worth $279 ?
JohnDowe. <--- Look! Signature!

JohnDowe. <-- This is a signature. Stop it.
Very few people outside the Microsoft main office think that any of their OS packages are priced reasonably. However, that does not excuse piracy. Again, read our rules.

Hi there.
Read the rules top to bottom...
I don't understand why i have to have more than 30 posts and 30 days of membership to be able to "sign" my posts like i do with all my e-mails, posts etc.?
Anyway i am getting close to both these parameters as of this post, i am @ 24 posts and about 20 days into my membership so i will soon exceed them.

J...
As I recall, it had mostly to do with spam control.
Whatever the reasons behind it, rules are rules and we live in a structured society here, therefor we must abide by the rules or face dire consequences.
