Video Card or not?

Seems that my computer will run fine until I try to play anything graphics intensive such as wow, DAOC ect ect. The computer will freeze up and the sound just sticks..

I know the jumpers are set to non SLI and my card is a 7800GTX. But for some reason on start up I always get this

Any ideas? The drivers are fresh just did a reformat.

Ummmmmm........???............. Are you retarded or something? I'm assuming you have a sli setup. You need the jumpers to enable sli. You disable them, therefore You are only using both cards as independent, Which is why you're getting that message. Now Unless You forgot to give us that little detail that you're NOT running a sli setup. Chances are that You put the card in the bottom slot instead of the top slot. Your Powersupply is too weak to run the sli setup or the card itself. One of the cards in SLI or card is defective. Nvidia Software can't tell for shit? LOL?

We get alot of people, That don't know how to plural stuff.
I only assume that you had a sli card with a sli setup which in turn to use one of that cards as "Video Card or not" as the problem for the title.

So.... What is your powersupply? Brand/Model? Amps on 12 Volt rail?

If you were overclocking your system I would say the CPU/Ram were not getting enough power to run stable. But thats not the issue.

How long did you have this setup for? Has Graphics card worked in the past before this problem?
What slot are you using for your graphics card?
Try Memtest86+ and make sure your memory doesn't have problems.

if you have latest driver from nvidia website, try using the one from the cd that came with the card or vice versa, if you dont have the latest from nvidia website, get it!
if playing with drivers doesnt help, then id suspect the card of being faulty, mobo 2nd.
go over all your mobo's jumpers, just incase something is conflicting or incorrect.
you can test ram with memtest86 and cpu with prime95.

let us know how you go, and just ignore people that call you names for no reason.

Well i put the card in the second slot, yes drivers are recent the motherboard was just replaced. It seemed that the top slot wasn't the one the motherboard liked. So far no problems since i changed it to the secondary slot!
