Question TV Output Help on Nvidia Geforce Go 7600

My Vista laptop has an Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 video card. The card has a 7-pin s-video-style output and a 15-pin VGA-style output. I've used the s-video output before with a standard 4-pin s-video cable to link to a newer TV with a s-video input, but now I'm wanting to find some way to link it to an older TV with only a RCA composite input.

I read at the Nvidia forums (sorry, your site won't let me post a link, but the post number was 60165) that a normal s-video converter won't work because of a glitch in the driver for this particular card on Vista. But I'm pretty much a nublet when it comes to graphics cards, and don't understand what they're saying.

With all that background info, how do you recommend I go about connecting my laptop to this older TV? Is it possible?

Thanks.

hmm...I dont know a lot about Vista, I stayed with XP due to hearing peoples problems with Vista, hence windows 7 is on its way. Back to your thing, sorry. My video card has S-Video and linked it to my TV, works fine, but on XP.

Sorry if this is no help at all.

If u connect ur TV up, select the input, go into the nview desktop panel and force TV detection. That feature has been available for years - used to do it with my ASUS V6800 Geforce 256!!!

Im using a 8600gt video card with S-video out to TV S-video...not terribly bad at all. I would suggest an 8800gt to ya for the S-video to component cable. They sometimes come with the video card.
