Red Colour shows up as greenish-blue for all Videos

Not really sure if this is a video card problem.

Now when I play a movie, the red colors turn green-bluish.
But everything else like images, movie preview (still image) in file-manager seem fine. Its just the videos that have the colours changed. I tried using different players - same results.

Could the graphics card be the issue ?
I have the nVidia X Server settings in my System > Administration - but what do I have to do to test ?

Ubuntu 8.10 | 1GB nVidia 8600 GT

Is it like that for all types of videos? Have you tested DVDs, avi, mov, wmv ? Just trying to make sure it's not something weird with the codecs, thus the broad spectrum of file types.
