Random Restarts with Geforce 6200

I just bought the Nvidia Geforce 6200, and installed it, and first it was weird, I would change my display to 1094x768, and then I would load up a game (Company of Heroes), and my computer would crash/restart, and then it wouldn't load up. It would get to the Windows XP loading screen, with the bar on the bottom, get past that, black screen with my mouse pointer, and then it would restart again, without ever loading.

So I was like, "Okay..." And I booted based on last good configuration (what I'm in now), with the resolution of 800x600, and figured that Company of Heroes just wouldn't work. So I thought my problem was my driver. I went to the Nvidia site, downloaded the most recent drivers, and then tried Unreal Tournament 3, and it would start up, the graphics would look really terrible and it'd be laggy, so I went to the main menu, and it would crash again/restart. But this time it started up, I assumed 'cuz I didn't change the resolution.

It would be nice to play these games, though. I'm afraid to change the resolution, 'cuz I'm sick of it restarting.

Sorry for the long post, any help would be much appreciated.

(Computer isn't overheating, no virus'/malicious software)

(?? Now when I go to the Start Menu, and then All Programs, it restarts. =(((( )

I would try your card in another computer if you can........could be a faulty card.........if it does the same thing in another comp take it back.
Next time if you can...list your system specs...maybe your comp doesn't have the minimum specs for the game you're trying to play

Yeah, I'm sure that my old ATI Radeon 9250 is gone, I used Driver Cleaner Pro, and can't find any traces of it left. (Though... I dunno if this means anything, but on my Add/Remove programs, I still have ATI Command Control Catalyst, but nothing i do can get rid of it. If I try to remove it, it's like, 'Raaaaaaaaawr, fatal error', and it'll just stay there...'

I dunno about powersupply... it's a Dell Dimension E310, I haven't changed the power.

Also, I dunno if this helps, but like I said in the first post, I can't go to "All Programs", which is really starting to get annoying. If I go to it, my computer will just restart.

try a friends bigger power supply. 250w isnt alot, it is probably at its limit. usualy dell uses generic power supplies that doesnt deliver as much wattage as the label says because 250w is the peak power the psu delivers.

What's enough? Like... 350? I think I saw some 410's...

---Edit---

Sorry, I'm not very good at this kinda thing.

=/

So, if I buy something like this (sorry if links aren't allowed)

http://cgi.ebay.com/600W-Power-Supply-4-Dell-Dimension-3100-5100-E310-E510_W0QQitemZ330239908401QQcmdZViewItem

Would it be easy to install, like putting Ram in? Or would it be super complicated, like when I had to put in a CD-Drive.

Thank you for all your help. =) I really appreciate it.

i wouldnt go buy a psu made specialy for dell. i would go for an aftermarket and well known one, like corsair, ocz, tagan, enermax, antec and many others... 400w or higher would suffice for your pc
