HELP!How to fix GeForce 8600 GTS PCI express card.

My XFX GeForce 8600 GTS graphics card started showing weird symbols and weird colors on my computer screnn. When i take it out and turn my computer on with out it, it is perfectly normal.
WIth it the screen is all in different color symbols and letters and its all messed up and jumpy. Can someone please tell me how to fix this. It would be amazing, thanks.

Those are commonly called artifacts, from what description you gave us.

Could be that your Videocard is Overheating, Check if your fan spins, check it's temperature, etc.

Could also be that the videocard is defective, it happens.

Another thing is that it could be driver related, I would update them to the newest out for the card : www.nvidia.com

I cant, it just turns off my monitor when windows is loading up.
All the letters are like purple nad orange when they should be white.
