That one doesnt work, it ahs a pc or p something core, can you give me a list of websites which have bios on them, cos i seriously can't find any at all.

mx440-se to mx440

eh? i tried using ur fx guide to flash my mx440-se model to a GF4 mx440, lol

i made the startup dos disk, added the nvflash utlity and the mx440 bios wich is located here
i downloaded the mx440 bios. it came zipped i added the zipped folder to the startup disk

the folder name is 4170030 and the file inside the compressed folder is 71m430w2.64k.
like i say i did not unzip it i added the folder straight to disk...

i booted the comp with the disk backed up my original sucessfully.

now i tried to flash it a/: or wat ever it is a://nvflash 71m430w2.64k clicked enter.

i/o error cannot open file..

a://

really sorry for digging this sticky up again but any help on this error thing wud be apreciated

reread it. follow the instructions. you need to put the -i (orwhatever) behind the nvflash. i.e. nvflash -i bios.bin read my guide and figure out what arguments you need to use (-i -a -f etc.)

hi av0.

i managed to make it open my new bios, but it says its not matching my vender?

any way i can force it to take this bios? it also complained about thhe se and mine is a se.

the manufactuer is leadtek or someting, i cant find a bios from them.... wat do i do?

it aborts the bios flash cus of a vendor thing.. anything else my mx can flash to or is the a way around this

can i remove the old bios compleatly before i add the new 1 so it doesnt notice its made by a different company?


i have an old pci card i can use wile doing it

huh i think it worked i used wfflash instead of nv.. i THINK its flashed to mx460

but i need drivers now lolll wfflash told me my new bios was sucessful now is it stable hmmm

Hes right though you have to have the same chipset info. Here are some examples and the geforce ti series is a complete different generation of cards.

NV35 geforce fx 5900 and 5950ultra
NV36 Geforce fx 5700 & 5700ultra

The lower end cards such as a 5700 can be flashed into a 5700ultra and a 5900 can be flashed into a 5950 ultra but there are other cards but too numerous to list.

ok i flashed it but my bios says its a bgetter model but windows says its still says its mx440SE not a better mx440.

wat do i do to get it to say its a mx440, drivers?

Get rid of the mx440, they are sooo bad, my gforce 3 is old but is like me having a race against your granny..

My advice..Get it to flash... in a fire..
