GT550m suddenly drop frame rate

I'm not sure if it is a hardware problem, but its just like one of my desktop card GF6800 which was repair once(it definaly did not work right).
It appears that when there are a plenty of content(terrain,object,FX...) going to turn up,the fps rate will suddenly lose more than a half(even stuck sometime),and then, after a few seconds the fps go back to the normal level.
These problems especially happened when I turn around in the game or move forward with more and more terrain loaded. Also when the view distance is very far.Right after fps went down,if I do nothing input, the fps will go back after about 3~4 seconds.
I'm sure it is not my harddisk issue.the same problem exists on my poor GF6800 card. But I changed the video card of my desktop computer and this problem was solved.
Please help!Thanks!
