Geforce2 MX/MX400, Samsung Syncmaster 633NW

My name is Patrick and I had bought a new Samsung Syncmaster 633NW LCD monitor last April 23, 2010 Friday. I have attached the monitor to my CPU and it worked fine. I noticed that sometimes the monitor turns black while the LED blue light is blinking and then it restarts. It keeps going on like this so I decided to download and install driver Forceware 93.71 for Legacy Geforce2 MX/MX400 for Windows XP in safe mode. I noticed that it keeps on restarting in the middle of the installation. It cannot start Windows normally or using the last good known configuration. So I tried running it in safe mode and uninstall the drivers and when I start Windows normally it would work without the drivers. My question is why can't I install the driver Forceware 93.71 for Geforce2 MX/MX400 when I attached the Samsung Syncmaster 633NW LCD monitor? Is there a way to make Geforce2 MX/MX400 work with Samsung Syncmaster 633NW? Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

I just recently tried to use the most recent drivers I could with a Geforce 4 MX 460, which is basically the same architecture as yours. I also couldn't get them to install properly, the machine would BSOD when booting after they were installed. I gave up and carried on with the basic XP drivers..

Why are you installing them in safe mode? What happens if you do it normally? Also, what makes you think the monitor is the cause? Did those drivers install properly with a different monitor connected?
