Driver lock up
Just got a new rig up, trying to install drivers for a msi 8800gt, it gets near the end of the install and goes to a black screen with a blinking underscore cursor "_". Tried installing it via the cd it came with and a manual install by device manager, with the same result.
Also, when I restart the machine it hangs at the windows load screen, resulting in another restart, where I have to choose "Use the last known good configuration" option... Any help will be appreciated!
Side note: In device manager under Nvidia Network Bus enumerator a "Other PCI Bridge Device" has a !. Having trouble with installing the onboard ethernet drivers as well...
Currently trying different drivers to see if it will work..
System specs:
Intel Dual core P4 3.0ghz (E6850)
3gigs of ram
Asus P5N-D mobo
MSI 8800gt oc
sound card
harddrive
Win xp pro x32
