BSOD + Memory Dump
About 3 months ago my ATI Radeon 9800 burnt out and i replaced it with a budget Nvidia e6200 and it has been running fine until lately. I find that a large majority of 3D games I've played cause my computer to give me a BSOD as soon as they boot. I've reinstalled my drivers about 3 times now to make sure that wasn't the problem, so what else could it be?
Thanks. |

There's the image of exactly what i get. Can't really screen cap it for obvious reasons. |

ialmdd5.dll is a direct draw driver for Intel graphics technology. Not really sure if that should even be used for an nVidia GPU.
Did you uninstall all graphics drivers before installing the nVidia ones? Or perhaps there is an integrated video processor on the motherboard? |

Okay well maybe that wasn't *exactly* the same as i just took that picture off google. Could i possibly find the memory dump and post it here? Also i don't believe I uninstalled the previous graphics driver.

Believe it or not, we do know what a BSOD looks like. What we need (and it just may make things easier for us to diagnose) is what the error was and particularly which module failed. In your particular case. |

You guys have been really good at getting back to me in short timer, too bad I haven't been able to do the same for I've been working all week long. Any who I got around to capturing my own BSOD and this time I give my personal guarantee this one looks exactly then same as the one I get when I try to run most 3D games. (for this run, I was trying Trakmania Nations Forever)

Alright with a little tinkering, I can run games such as Half Life 2 but a few games like Track Mania Nations crashes my system with the screen pictured above.

Ok, so when I get BSOD it gives me some stuff about contacting my system admin for BIOS update or something similar to that. Nearing the bottom it says the following:
*** STOP 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x85BE3668, 0xB46ACB48, 0x000000) Do those numbers mean anything? |
