BIOS of PNY Quadro FX3800
Hi.
this is a nice forum and i hope that i find help for my problem too.
Does anyone have a PNY Quadro FX 3800 card? Due to a misunderstanding the card was flashed with a HP BIOS. Now i'm looking for an original BIOS-file to flash is back.
The original BIOS form this card was 62.00.6F.00.01
Thanks for your help.

Hi, thanks for your reply. But neither PNY nor Nvidia provides a firmware download. So i'm looking for someone who has such a graphics card.
Thanks for helping.

Hello hfran82,
May I ask you the version of HP firmware you have used? 62.00.77.00.06 ? What happened to the board? is it unusable now?
I have one of them at work, will check for the firmware, but I don't know how to rip it.
Btw I was also thinking in flashing that PNY with that HP firmware to try to solve a serious problem we have, "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode stopped responding and has successfully recovered.(259.81)" this happens every time PhysX or CUDA is used, even simple app as NVIDIA PhysX Particle Fluid Demo.

Hello Veki Venom,
Thanks for the ray of hope.
I have tried two versions because of OpenGL issues:
at first the firmware version 62.00.77.00.06. Flashing process ended without problems but at the reboot it hangs on detecting IDE devices. The fan of the Quadro card permanently runs on hi-speed. First i thought that one IDE device has an error, but when i changed the graphics card, the PC starts without problems. Normally, the fan runs on hi-speed for a couple of seconds then slows down and the PC starts. I think the initialization signal for/from the card is not compatible with the HP firmware.
In a second step i added a second graphics card to the PC and started again. The output was on the second card available and the PC starts. The fan of the Quadro card only slows down when i enter windows and then the Quadro is usable but the performance not so good as with PNY firmware.
Same with the firmware version 62.00.6F.00.03 additionally some color flickers at the boot.
HP and PNY cards are a little different in design because the HP cards are optimized for HP workstations.
Here is the tool for the flash and backup process and the how-to:

So, i hope this is understandable.
Please make a Backup of the BIOS for me.
Thank you very much,
hfran82

Hi!
I have ripped the bios using GPU-Z because it runs on Windows, not dos. Do you think this way will work for you?
I have uploaded it to a file sharing site, so you can try:
PNY Quadro FX 3800 - 62.00.6F.00.01
easy-share.com/1913051389/GT200.bin
As far as I know this is the only version, but my graphics card is a little old.
I also got OpenGL issues, specially when using Lightwave 3D.
What is your config? Could you download and test how the NVIDIA PhysX Particle Fluid Demo performs on your machine? Sometimes it works here, but not very often, so if you can, please try a few times.
You can get it here: nvidia.com/content/graphicsplus/us/download.asp

Hello Veki Venom,
Thank you very much for your video BIOS file. I flashed your version and i can boot normally.
I have bought this card this summer and a have the same firmware version.
I have OpenGL issues when i use Adobe CS5 e.g. After Effects.
I have downloaded the
-PhysxFluids_by_KennethBugeja
-PhysXSoftBodies_by_KennethBugeja
-CrazyMachines2_PhysXFluidsLevels
when i started the first and the second PhysX Tool, the applications reported an error (App doesn't work) and linked me to the driver page.
After installing the CrazyMachines2 the other two tools work fine. Now i have three windows with any combination of the two tools running without problems. at a maximum of three windows i can set the GPU for rendering.
After effects OpenGL Plug-Ins has the same problem as before.
My Config:
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: Intel i7-930
MB: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5
RAM: 12GB RAM 1333MHz
PNY Quadro is in the PCIe2.0 x16 slot
i have tried this two tools several times. but there is no problem.
