A Lost Newbie ... Help !?
Firstly, "Hello" !
Totally new to all this Graphics Card business, and hopinig someone can help with my first problem !
Just bought a laptop (fleabay) specifically for the display gamut for photography, and yes, the ability to play some decent games.
Machine is an Acer 8920G, and is supposed to have this card : 'Nvidia GeForce 9500M GS 512MB VRAM'
However, its just arrived now and in device manager, under 'Display Adapters' it states : 'NVIDIA GeForce 7000M / nForce 610M'
Now as you can see, not what was expected !
Can anyone tell me if I've been fiddled here ?
To be honest, all I know is that the 9500M is in my friends machine and he gets on with it fine. If the 7000/610 thing is a serious downgrade, than I'll be sending the machine back. Obviously if it's as good as or better .. keeping it !
As you can see .. i know nothing technical, so please, any answers should be submitted as if talking to an idiot !
