8400M GS gone bad
I have an HP DV2700 CTO. The screen is always blank. From the many thread that I've read, http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Displa...creen/m-p/70104 , it seems the problem is the Nvidia 8400M GS. First, what's easier? Do I just buy a new video card and replace it? Or, do I do a GPU reflow the solder?

If I can just replace the GPU, what are some models that are compatible with the HP DV2700 CTO?

Enable BSOD: Control Panel/Systems, Advanced Tab, hit the Settings button under Startup and Recovery, and under the System Failure area, uncheck the Automatically Restart checkbox.
