The Owner of Unix is...
In a partial summary judgement on August 10, 2007 the court concludes that Novell is the owner of the UNIX and UnixWare copyrights. If Novel wants it can claim the payments made by Microsoft and Sun to SCO for licences.

The SCO v. Novell trial is set to start on September 17. Considering the leverage that Novell now has it is possible that in the end SCO will be left bankrupt.

SCO filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last Friday.
They were supposed to go to trial on Monday.
Is this a delay tactic or is this really the beginning the end?
I wish SCO would just hurry up and die.
That way all the the Unix and Linux people would sleep better.
