That is a really retarded law if it passes. Think about it. All the government is doing is saying "lets hinder the progress of our own country because (please explain to me why)". No, wait, I just figured it out! It's because the government is tired of seeing Ipods, so they want other Japanese and Korean manufacturers to chime in more and produce their own new best-ever MP3 player. They're going to add 3D projection features and the Ipod will still be stuck with a 2.5" color screen. Guess what the Ipod will look like in 10 years? A white little device with a 2.5" color screen. Guess that the States wants to lower taxes to bring business to the country and then... well... drive it back out? Whatever, screw them. lol

yeah.

see, i don't doubt that there are ppl crazy enough to think up ideas like this one. but the fact that they actually become known is amazing. they come out with an idea like this, and what's terrifying is that they're actually serious.

while the rest of the world says a collective "wtf?!" they think what they're doing is fantastic for all.

there's really a limited number of radical psychopaths in this country. they're very few in number, i swear. it just happens that they're all in charge of companies/organizations or work for radio stations or TV news stations or work in the Federal gov. so the rest of moderate/cautious America has to deal with them

yeah it does....but wait - isn't recording broadcasts already illegal? How can they stop you from recording it O_o Granted they can prohibit the creation of (oh wait I just understand it now) such devices that prevent it from being recorded. Hey now it makes sense. But yet it doesn't make sense. *shakes head* screw them

Yeah, but that's the thing. They can't really prohibit anything effectively because then Japan will make EVERYTHING and the States will be left out. It's retarded, almost as though somebody thought about it for five seconds, wrote it down on a post-it and then tried to pass it off as a law. It's just dumb.

If they are calling for it, it doesn't mean "the government" is going to do it. In fact "the government" has wanted to digitize, and several senators supported the possibility of forcing the digital world on everybody.

Kind of contradicts.
