Microsoft and Adobe make major announcements at NAB 2007
Not sure if this affects any of you or if you are interested, but Microsoft has introduced Silverlight at NAB. Silverlight is Microsoft's response to Flash, its originally code name was WPF/E.
Adobe on the other hand has released the Adobe Media Player which is a stand alone player that now features DRM. Here is a great article from streaming media on the two. It's going to be interesting to see what happens, Flash owns the market now but Microsoft has Windows at i's back. They can do a lot of things to make life tough for Adobe now that they claim to have their own player. Should be interesting when everything starts to take shape. ![]()
