But given that the last Spanish election was shifted in large part due to a massive terrorist attack on a transport hub in Madrid from a front runner who supported the US in Afghanistan/Iraq to someone who pleged to brigh Spanish troops home...

I'm fairly shocked about 21 deaths at kings cross. I've been there like 8 times and on 3 of those occasions there's been some sort of alarm, and once I actually got evacuated (while ordering burger king :P)... the fact they didn't pick up on it is making me wonder what made the explosions...

They are either 2 months too late or approx 4 years early.

its offical 45 dead could rise into thousands
I somehow doubt that.
I'm just impressed that most people are just carrying on with normal life. Apart from the few streets closed + lack of transportation, everything seems to be normal. Very british. It was also good to see our emergency services working very efficiently and even the people involved - lots of people off the street helping.

Its a horrible tragedy. I'm sorry guys! Anyone have family or friends with family connected to this?! Maybe Europe will begin to understand (after spain and now uk) what we went through on 9/11...but most likely not. Whatever the case its definitely not worth this price.
What complete idiots!! Why would they do that?!?! I'm really sorry guys.

iv said it before, and il say it agian. 9/11 was an internation incident. it was a "World" tradecentre.
anyway, the official BBC count is now at 33 and rising.
however im surprised it is this low, when you consider how many people will be on: each of the trains in the tube and a double decker bus. it's actually quite a good sign that the deaths are this low.

There is no fukcing need. 30+ dead and 350 injured. Londons travel system will cease to opearate til further notice and people advise not to travel in/around the city.
The thing is....if it can happen in London then it can happen in other parts of the UK.
We (Edinburgh) had a bit of trouble with anarchists at the weekend and leading up to the G8, but it's didly-shit compared to that earlier today.
There is just no need!!!

I'd say that's a little harsh. I think europe understood what happened and how much of a terrible tragedy it was at the time. Remember it wasnt just americans that died...

Probably due to Iraq. Who knows.
33 Dead so far. I imagine it will rise to around 50 (just my opinion - nothing to back it up).

Yes that is true. I guess that was harsh. It just was frustrating I think to see the rest of the world say they were sympathetic because it was an international incident, but then they showed little interest in exacting justice. That was an inappropriate comment...I"m sorry guys.
I'm not sure they're doing the because of Iraq. It seems more of an antiestablishment thing. I mean the UK doesnt' have tons of troops in Iraq right now, however Blair was a very big supporter of Bush and thus the actions in Iraq. Maybe, but claiming to be Al qaeda and then not actually being connected seems more wannabe to me. Like a crazy group that just wants to latch on to some movement to feel special.
BTW that is awesome that so little have died compared to how many could've (like you said Anubis)! I'm definitely praying for those involved.

It only takes one day to shift public opinion, especially when I see the amount of "as long as it ain't in my backyard I don't care" thinking I've seen IRL.
