Anyone gonna build a Skulltrail rig?
Looks like SLI capability is finally coming to an Intel motherboard in a roundabout way. Look at the dual quad core extremes, dual Zalman CNPS9700's, dual 8800GTX's and all the case fans.
I guess there's a 1 kilowatt or larger PSU in there somewhere - If AMD doesnt get in the game with a screaming quad core soon, I may have to jump ship and go intel like most of the masses have done already. Thats assuming I can float the cash needed for a setup like that. Is that overkill or about on par for whats coming in the future, gaming wise? More of the new platform can be read about here What were this weeks winning lotto numbers again?? - JX99Last edited by jammerx99 : January 9th, 2008 at 04:07 PM. |

You really willing to fork over $400 for a mobo and a few hundred more per chip just to try it out? Go dual quad core opteron.. slightly more affordable... ![]()

Not me. I am not going to try it as I cannot afford to throw that kinda money away. And personally I don't think it is worth the money spent.
