Windows 7 Wireless problem
Ok Ready For a hard one? I just Wiped my laptop clean and installed windows 7 ultimate. i went to get on the internet and noticed my wireless wont turn on. so i update all of my drivers. still no wifi, but i can connect through ethernet. i started to research the problem and i have to flash my BIOs, which can, if messed up, screw the whole computer. i really dont want to flash it if its not needed, so is there another fix on this wi fi problem? the laptop is a HP Compaq nc6230. Please help

After looking at HP's driver list, and it looks like they do not have any Windows 7 drivers. The Vista drivers may work, but since you're using a laptop that was not designed for Windows 7, you may be out of luck.
But, are you sure you didn't turn the wireless of? A lot of laptops have a wireless switch on the side/front of the laptop which turns the wireless on/off--maybe you turned it to the off position?
