People are always looking for answers on Google (that's the way I found you guys by the way), so it does not matter if the post is "old" or not, the replies are still valid and could help not only the person who started the topic, but the never ending stream of NEW internet users looking for information on USB and Ethernet speed via google, in 2008 and beyond.
Secondly I just debunked the myth that USB and ethernet don't make a difference in terms of internet speed, while the others replies said the contrary.
Just my 2 cents.
Keep up the good work. |
You are correct in saying that old replies can be just as valuable as new ones. However due to archiving we prefer if new posts are created.
Secondly I'm glad that you found our site through your search for the answer.
I would like to add though that the max bandwidth is much lower with USB 2.0 for example than of cat 5/6 ethernet connections, so will inevitably not be as fast up to a certain point.
Hope you continue to enjoy the forums.
