Tracking Internet Logs/Computer with two Internet Cards
I am trying to figure out how to set this up. This is how I want it set up.
ISP ---> Computer with two cards (One card connected to the ISP/Modem) (The Second Card goes to the Router) -----> Router------ > network (The network as lots of computers on it.)
With the computer with the two cards, I want to be able to track what people are going to for websites. I want to have it set up this way, so I don’t have to deal with software on their computers. Also this will make the chance of them getting around it a lot harder.
So my question is how I go around setting up the computer with the two network cards, to be able to do what I want.

First of all, what is the purpose of the computer w/ the two nics? And why do you have a router connected to it? Is the router acting as a router, or acting as a switch?

Sounds like he's using his computer as a firewall.
Are you trying to block what people can access? What kind of router do you have? You may be able to install dd-WRT on it, which would be a less complicated method.

Checkout Endian Firewall. It has a built-in web filter w/ logging so you can see exactly what sites everyone is visiting.
Alternatively, if you want to make things a little more simple, you could remove the computer w/ two nics completely, and set your router to use the OpenDNS service.

I have to agree with SandMan on this. If you want to track, filter, block, restrict, and log sites then building a hardware firewall may be the best route. I have been experimenting with Untangle. Its Lite version is free and so far perty darn good. I have mine set as a transparent bridge. From modems to , dual wan router 2. untangle firewall 3. switch. Iam getting daily reports on the activity along with noticing a big downsize on the spyware intrusions and ads. If you have a old puter laying around.. doesn't have to be anything fancy.. just needs to nics, look up untangle.com and try it out.

Dear Mr. Customer,
I think what happened is that there were messages downloaded at the same time as the "quota" message, emptying the inbox, making the quota message somewhat meaningless. There may also have been messages on the Mail Site server that the email program that lives on your computer deleted from the Mail Site server, depending on the settings of the email program that lives on your computer.
Sincerely,
Technical Support
