Sharing files through Hamachi VPN
Hey DevHers,
So I've got a question. I set up a Hamachi VPN to share files with my friends, but we're having trouble make it work. We're all logged in fine, and can see each others' computers, but when we try and share files it says we don't have permission. Basically, how do I setup a shared folder so anyone in the VPN can access it (but only share it with the VPN, I don't want to share it with my LAN).

First, why don't you just use a sftp server program. I believe there's one out there called Bulletproof FTP. It basically does SSH File sharing (same concept as connecting via VPN.)
Second, what kind of error messages, if any, are you getting?

The advantages of an VPN allow us to do a lot of other LAN type stuff, for example, iTunes libraries are shared (so say we're having a party and a friend wants to play a playlist off his computer at home, at the party, boom. done.) Also, I believe you can use the Hamachi IP address like a LAN address, so say someone wants to play on my minecraft server, they could just connect to my hamachi IP which doesn't change instead of my ISP given IP which does.
I get the specific error 0x80070035 "The network path was not found." although that's only for the 1 friend I can see right now. Before I was getting an error saying I didn't have permission.

Sounds like a hostname or routing issue. Are you trying to connect via IP address or hostname? What does the whole environment look like? As in do you have a VPN Concentrator or is this some sort of service you are all connecting to somewhere? Do other connections work and just this one fail? Can you ping each other at all when you're connected?
