Ipconfig not working
Hi guys,
when i try to connect my laptop with my broadband cable connection
it doesnt detect the LAN. plus when i try to find my ip address it wont let me do it with ipconfig/all. it gives error message that 'unrecognized command'.
what can be the reason for this? my other friends had the same problem bt it got fixed after they turned the cable modem on and off for a few tiems. mine was unlucky and never got the ip.

Need more information... are you connecting straight to your modem, going through a router->modem, going through a switch(or hub)->router-> modem... I mean what's going on here? Are you sure you typed the command in right, it is 'ipconfig /all' (don't forget the space, as I see you did up there). Are you using wireless through a router? I mean there are so many possibilities, and you haven't given a clue as to what your setup is, you just say it doesn't work, so I can't really help you at this time, but I would like to, for sure. More info please
