Internet Issues
Recently I've decided to set up an old computer of mine and the trouble started when I was trying to connect to the internet. I have a router setup and computer wired to that and the internet works fine. I'm trying to connect the other computer wirelessly and this is where the problems are occurring. I've manually given it ip addresses and dns servers and a default gateway since it used to be set up in another state, and although setting this up made a difference, still no internet. The router says it's connected, signal strength is excellent, internet is coming into the computer, but when I open up internet explorer it won't load any pages. I've tried repairing the connection, rebooting, reconnecting to the router but nothing works. I hope someone can help me out with this because it is really quite frustrating and I know quite a bit about computers and being stumped by this I'd like to know the solution.
