Compaq V6000 Laptop Wireless issues
Calling out to all the experts here. I have a HP-Compaq Presario V6000 Laptop. For some reason, the Wireless connection has stopped working. I cannot access Wireless Assistant and the Device Manager shows no Wireless Adapter.
Even reinstalling drivers and Wireless assistant doesn't help. If it does start working it will only work until I shut down the laptop. When I start it up again, the indicator light is orange (should be Blue) and it can't find any wireless again.
I booted into Safemode with Networking and it automatically said it was installing Broadcom 802.11 b/g WLAN Drivers. Then the light turns Blue and I have Wireless again. When I exit and restart again after a full shutdown, it's back to not working again.
I searched for hours and found many similar problems but not answers. Can anyone tell me what's going on? The Wireless card obviously works in Safemode so it's OK. Why would it "uninstall/disable" after a reboot?
I am running Vista Home Premium. Please help. I am lost! TIA
