Page 2 - Turn you Audigy into a Audigy 2!

I tried it out but Im not completely sure if it is working right. I installed the stuff, but when I reboot windows installs the Live! card. Many of the programs that I try to run say they can't run because they can't detect a proper card or they don't have the files they need. In device manager does your card actually show up as an Audigy? I have played some music, but I can't really tell if it is better. Can anyone give me some help on this. Plus I can't install the updates because they say they can't find a sound blaster card.

Mine shows up as a Live! still, but it sounds sooo much better, very noticable difference. Look in the troubleshooting section of the first article about the missing files.

Yeah I saw that, but I installed the english version and it says that occurs for non-english versions. I will go check that readme file though.

How do you patch the update files, they keep saying they don't find a soundblaster card. The update files being the ones from the creative site.

Dmytry what problems do you have with it?

for the programs to all work you need to install the patch, i forget where i got it from, one of those guides, its called "patch", works and you you get everything. In the device manager it will look almos the same.

It won't detect. I used ctcomp to patch it. I used i6comp.exe to extract and replace the CTcomp.dat file (with modifying). Do I have to do something else?

use driver cleaner, and then if that doesn't work try taking the card out boot up/shut down and put it in a different slot.

Has anyone been able to find a mirror for the Audigy 2 zs cd?

any one having problems with no one hearing you in ventrilo or teamspeak like progs. after installing the drivers.... i have sb live card and installed the drivers... but now no one can hear me in those progs. but when i go to wave recorder i can hear what i say... and another thing... what am i supose to see when i go to controle panel > sound and divices .. what card am i supose to see there ? i get sb live [D000]

Would the same thing work with Creative's external sound cards?

i just came across this. I have heard about it before and thought what the hell seems to work for most people, but as usual my luck strikes again.

I have done everything it says done all the driver updates but through all of them i can't get my front left/right speakers working. Center Rear left/right and my sub work fine, they are creative speakers...

Anyone got any advice before i spend ages going back to my normal Audigy 1. Oh yeh i have a Audigy 1 platinum Ex.

Everythings sorted now stupid flatmate had unplugged the front 2 speakers to try his mp3 player through them, and the idiot plugged them back in wrong.

Ok... I've done all the mod stuff but still I can't get the software suite to work. I use this Audigy LS ( SB0310 ) . Did anyone manage to mod this card to Audigy 2 ZS I mean able to use the software suite without problem...? thanks in advance.

yea, it is realy tricky. Remove the old drivers, and then download the new ones, and run that patch. Then it should work, then theres another patch for all the apps to work.
