Recommendation for Speaker Wires

Does anybody have a recommendation for good speaker wires that are properly shielded?

My old altec lansing speakers pick up the local radio transmissions, and I'd like to get rid of em for good (That is the radio transmissions not the speakers, hehe). The yucky tinfoil and tape job I did is coming off and once again I'm hearing a feint buzzing and voices. Too quiet to interfere with anything, but it gets annoying when audio is quiet.

Edit: Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I meant the signals were what I wanted to get rid of.

I've used Logitec for the last 5 years with no probs.

got them for $45 with tax on a clearance sale
They sound sooo much better for movies and gaming with 5.1 surround

No no... I mean speaker wires. My speakers are great, its just the wires. I insulated them with foil and taped it but now its coming off. So I want to cut them off and attach some new wires that are better shielded.

Just wanted to know which wires to get.

Looping the wires a few turns around a ferrite core works for me and might be easier than replacing wires. YMMV.
