you can try skype for computer to computer talk, its similar to msn messenger "talk" button as well as other instant messaging applications, except that you get to call land phones with skype, althought at a small fee.
skype the pc to phone is called skypeout

connectivity is like that ....
Actually , i am trying to configure as the followning..
my pc(Town A) <------------>my friend's pc(town B) via voice chat | | | his phone(landline)(near his pc) | | here my family's phone(Town B also) I 'm trying to speak with my family's phone.My family cant get internet access.They only can use phone. I know how to connect and talk voice with my firend from town B via gtalk.My friend will dial my family phone no to make me and my family speak .How does my friend configure my voice to my family and my family's voice to me ?How does he route my voice to my family even though they dont have internet access. I think it is clear. I need to think about mic in ,speaker out port from pc and phone mic in , speaker out. am i thinking right way ? Please give me some advice. I'm really ....... Thanks. |

I know this is very late but I feel this is worth checking out for anyone who wants to hook their telephone(land line) up to their PC:I would put the link here but the form will not let me. It was a complete circuit and it is too bad that I wasted my time registering for this forum just to be helpful and then end up not even been able to post the link!. ![]() |

The only way I know to post this is by giving instructions on how to get to the site:
1 Do a Google search for: computer audio interface to wire-based telephone network 2 Click on the first link. I just found this article today and I do believe I'm going to build it. I hope this post is of some use to someone. Ron |
