5.1 or 7.1 sound card with Z-5500?

5.1 or 7.1 sound card with Z-5500?

Hi guys.. please ignore my last post.... It's too long and I decided to get the 2nd hand z-5500... it is working great! only until I find out how suckie my onboard sound was...

So I've been reading around about what sound card to get. At first I though the Diamond Extreme Sound (XS71 or XS71ddl) was pretty good, but it has bad bleeding on high frequency...

But I was wandering, z-5500 is a 5.1 system, do I really need a 7.1 card? are they that much better over their 5.1 counter part? do I really need that digital out instead of 6 channel?

Please give me some advice as to what card to get for a decent price, if digital is call for, I'd like to have coax instead of optical, because Optical is being used by my PS3. Thank!
