Xfx 680i LT board

hi,

i just purchased a bundle from tigerdirect:

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3601833&Sku=MCM-680ILT-Q6600B

now i plugged everything hooked it all up

additional hardwar:

DVD-RW Driver
500 GB SATA drive
Visiontek ATI 3870 512 MB -- > 2 dvi using dvi to vga adapter

now when i turn on the system i get the blue led on for power on the board, and then the amber and green led turn on when it powers up, the harddrive appears to be functioning...

but it wont boot, keyboard lights dont turn on, no output to the monitor

the cpu fan works and is on ...
all the fans are working

the fan on the ati card is working, (it connect to the power supply using a 2 molex -> 6 pin adaptor)

i have no idea how to proceed, i guess swapping out the ram?

Make sure that you are keeping it as simple as possible when trouble shooting a boot issue.

Have only the essentials,
CPU
One stick of ram
VGA
Try booting up and try each slot in regards to the ram.

It could be as something as simple as the board is grounding out in the case somewhere. You should take the board out of the case if the first series of attempts fail that are listed above and try again.

680i chipsets have been known to be quite picky with ram in regards to voltage. What is the spec voltage on them?

Also, what PSU are you using?
In regards to your 8 pin ATX 12v connector are you using both are just one slot?
