MSI K9N Neo-F processor
I've got the aforementioned board with a 5000+ BE but it won't post or display anything. I'm pretty sure the mobo is fine since it just got back from being repaired at MSI, but it won't post at all. All the fans turn on when it powers on, but the screen just says its not getting a signal. The video card works in another computer so it's not that. All my parts are brand new so I doubt it's any of that, but I can RMA them if necessary. I was wondering if I should buy a cheap AM2 processor to test if it's the board or not because I'm not sure if the Black Editions are supported on the non-updated BIOS since on MSI's website it says "since 1.9". Any help would be appreciated.

Reading this page, I don't see the 5000+ BE listed. The plain 5000+ is listed but not the black edition. Everytime I've had no video on boot, its always been a bad connection somewhere. I'd unplug and replug all connections and make sure all add in cards are reseated properly

alright i'll try taking it apart and putting it back together again. I do see the black edition listed here though, but it again makes me wonder if i just need the bios updated.

I've tried several times again and still nothing. The CPU isn't making any heat that i can tell either which if i remember correctly, that means the CPU is bad.

Sorry for triple posting, but I actually got something on the monitor for a second but whatever was on the screen went away right after I realized it was there so I couldn't read it.

Well, I just checked Newegg and im a few days past the 30 day mark of being able to do the RMA online so I guess I'll call them this week about it since the CPU has a 3 year warranty.
