Mobo question
Do sellers or retailers still carry a MOBO that is Intel pent4 3.2Ghz HT compatible? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but new at building a computer...looks great with all the fans and lights, but no display nor any Hard Drive sounds with all molex connections intact. Oh, im running a 450w PSU and put in all correct connections (24pin, 2X4 pins) still nothing. Might be a motherboard issue?

Do you have the 4pin power lead pushed in until it clicks on the motherboard?
Just checkin'...

my socket is a LGA775 pent4. I will try out the audible click for the 4 pin, too bad its right on the left of the heatsink/fan. That Thermaltake V1 sure cuts skin really well, ouch!
How do you do a CMOS reset? Take out battery for about 10 min then plug back in for bios to read everything? Could it be something so simple as that aftermarket heatsink is just not in all the way too? *UPDATE* I pressed the 2x2 power 12v connector and heard the audible click sound. Also jumped the CMOS connector back to the 1 and 2 pins. Still nothing. I also removed the video card, and 2 GB RAM sticks, no go. Probably a fried MOBO. |
