HP Pavillion Laptop shutsdown unexpectedly.

My HP Pavillion DV6810US shutsdown unexpectedly. After the powerbutton is pushed it may stay on for a split second or up to several hours, when I have been lucky enough to have it stay on for a few hours I have run several diagnostics including temperature checking. It never gets above the temp threshold. I have tried the HP suggested reset (battery out, power disconnected press powerbutton for 20 seconds to dissipate any stored up power) and the problem persists. I am thinking the motherboard is bad.

What do you guys think?
