GIGABYTE motherboard windows not booting up

Few things before I get to my problem. I just sign up for the first time so sorry for no introduction. Also sorry if this is not the right spot for this and for anyone that does help me to fix a problem that I made.

When building my PC I didn't have a cd/dvd drive that work for this motherboard[GA-Z68A-D3H-B3(rev. 1.3)] at the time so I had to use the website downloads. I did what I needed to get online for this new motherboard. I felt I never had to pop in the DVD to install drivers at the time. Everything work great.

Today for the heck of it I thought I'll see what drivers I might not have install also to look at the stuff I get form the DVD. I put in the DVD that came with the motherboard. No problem everything works fine when I install what I didn't have. Here were I MADE THE MISTAKE. Looking at the icons that it gave me. I saw the @BIOS clicking to look at it and with-out reading the numbers[motherboard ver.] I just selected it and hit the update. After restarting my PC I now can't get Windows 7 to boot up. I tried to do windows recovery sadly that did not work. 2nd step I tried to reset the BIOS by removing the battery on the motherboard. Windows still will not boot up.

The only thing I can think of is to clean my hard drive but haven't done it yet. I am very up set with myself and hope there something that can be done. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for any help that comes.

How about if you unplug all the hardware reset and then try to boot the machine?

Again an old thread revisited. But since it has been bumped...
Did you get the computer fixed, what did you do?

I would have suggested that if you can get it to boot to the BIOS setup screen, reset the bios settings first of all. Check that it recognises your hard disk.
Next I would ask where did the windows recovery fail?
