Asus MB's drivers cannot be found!
I have an HP Pavilion a720n with a ASUS A7V8X-LA MB.
I added a SATA HD which shows up in the BIOS and doesn't show problems in the Device Manager, but isn't picked up by Windows (XP Home). I think it's the proper drivers that I need, but after a long research, I just can't find them! Do you know where I could look for them? And can you please confirm that it's the SATA drivers for the MB that I should look for? Thanks! |

right click on my computer, click manage, click on disk management, your disk should be there but wont be partitioned... all you would need to do is create a partition and you would be set to go.

Thanks!
I never even thought of right clicking on My Computer! Anyway, it says that the HD is unallocated and uninitialized (465GB out of 500, to be precise). Any further suggestions? Thank you! |

i havent got XP or a new hard drive so i couldnt say, but at a guess, right click, initialize it then create a new partition, you will never get the full 500GB but you will get something like 465... its kinda the same with internet and why you never truly get your full speed
