You definately need a multimeter to do a vmod..... I was using a mechnical pencil and it doesnt matter how much lead I use the resistance didnt go down much.... then I use a regular HB pencil and just a few strokes did the trick..... for future reference, NEVER do any kind of vmod without having a multimeter... guessing will kill your shiet....

Edit...I'm pretty sure I came close to killing it today...It got nasty messedup freezing in bios....took a little lead off and no problem....I am meticulous even if I'm ghetto...
WIll clean it up and do some soldering tomorow with multimeter checking..

it doesn't work like that Corbec. i can do 12.5x200 ->2.5 but only 10x233 ->2.33.
the higher the FSB the less excessible the bigger multipliers get!
the vdd-mod only gives you a little more FSB not overall cpu mhz.

YEHAAAAW!!!!!!! 227 fsb bootable. 226 fsb 3dmarkable...(it claims 224 sandra says 226) SO I wil CLAIM 225 fsb (mobo setting) These are just preliminary results.....
Macro I tested the pencilling I did only 563 ohms from 568 after cleaning...hmm no wonder only 1 fsb...
I am a soldering GOD!!! Well at least I feel like one. Even did the Vdimm mod that was sketchy but got it superfast on 1st try so no prob...did a lot of practice on some old pcb today as those are some tiny solders esp the vdimm.
Thanks Guys

Congrats dude what voltage are you running right now? Be careful on checking the voltage cos if you touch something else with that multimeter you can fry your board.... 225x11 sounds good.....

Had to turn voltage up to 2.03V Vdd on easirer to reach (lower reading) point. This seems pretty damn high to me what did you get 225 at? Tomorrow I'll go get an antec true 430. I "borrowed" one before from compusa but it didn't help much back before this but now I think it will....and yes I am VERY carefull.
I havn't messed around with the vdimm much yet just got this thing going about a hour ago...

Ive never read the voltage from my mobo cos my gpu fan covers the place to measure..... 2.03v seems kinda high but from what I remember, Cuf measures from 2 points and get the average of the 2 to figure out the correct voltage....

Havn't measured the other point in a while as gcard makes it a bitch...it runs about .05 higher consistantly so that would make it more like 2.05, 2.06... I'll just use one point as a reference.

ok what i was saying about higher vdd=higher fsb=higher speed chip was...
and i was saying if you increased the fsb and left the mult. the same you get a higher speed chip. elisha thanks for your explanation, but i know that. now that you guys see what i meant you know i was right . example... 11.5x213=2.45ghz...ok raise fsb to 216...216x11.5=2484. so what do you know increasing the fsb speed increased the chip speed . lol macro nice lil comeback there...it was funny
ok question when overclocking with the nf7 and nf7-s is there any difference? and can the vdd modd be done the same on both?
thanks and please answer this!

NO I know you were wrong increase to 216fsb=CRASH
It will really help if you actually get the equipment and OC it instead of reading about it........
