I just got my wife a new laptop from IBM. I'm fine with the "business black" of the laptop, but I'd like to add a little something to my wife's so it's special to her. She's into a "pink phase" right now because she's the only woman in the house.
All of the appliques I find are biohazard, alien, transformers, etc, which aren't too appealing to her (as you can imagine).
Someone over at DevShed mentioned airbrushing, so I may look into that.

Well, IMO, if you put stickers on it, and someday she doesn't like it, and then she tries to take it off, it will leave glue behind. That will mess it up!!
Rather go for something that is easy to remove once the craze is over.....that eliminates air brushing!
But you really made me think...I will get back...!

it'd void the warranty (not a good thing with laptops as self-repair isn't really possible) but EL wire would be cool.
im thinking of something like it when i get a lappy (this won't have a warranty as it'll be a seconds hand refurbished P3 something or other). i want to do the EL Wire Keyboard mod from the mods page, and then wither the same or a contrasting colour around the edge of the screen (external edge, the plastic side but you use to open the screen up with ). id wire it up so it only ran when the screen was on (well, im gonna try to anyway...).
