OCZ Guy
I bought some OCZ PC 3200 CL2 DDR (512mb). What are the suggested timings for it? Right now mine is running at 3-3-3-2 at 200mhz with the fsb at 200mhz also.
Any suggestions?

there are no suggested timings its as low as u can get but i can tell u that your timings suck......remember that the lower u can get them the better at least run it at CAS2......lower timings are better not higher ones..... its better to run lower timings than higher bus....for ex ddr333 at tight timings is faster than ddr400 at the timings youre running....get in that bios and pull em way down.....if your pc starts acting unstable add some voltage to the ram...

Ya those timings def. suck. Sometimes slightly higher timings give better results, so you definately need to experiment. macro/ukcuf told me about it and it blew me away. I consistently score higher with 2-2-2-5 than with 2-2-2-3. Weird? Ya, but I guess you gotta go with whatever benches the highest.
Try 2-2-2-3 (3-2-2-2 in bios) and change the 3 to a 4,5,6,7 and run sandra each time, you might be suprised.

Yeah I'll definately screw around with them and see what I can do. I can get it to run at 4-2-3-2 but I can't seem to get 4-2-2-2 or even 5-2-2-2. I'm gonna run memtest86 and see what I can find.

Not a happy camper here. I bought 2 chips of PC3500EL 256mb modules. Right outta the box one doesnt work. The other one gets outperformed by my CHEAP Samsung PC2700. My Samsung is running at 427.6mhz at 2.5/4/4/8 (default settings) and I tried matching the same settings with the only other module that worked and it wouldnt reach that speed even with such relaxed timings. I tried running the module in sync with my fsb but it won't boot. I'm furous!!!! I just emailed technical support and I'm hoping to resolve this issue.

They claim they have changed from the past. (very bleak past) I wanna see them prove it first hand. I venture into many many O/C forums and I have seen OCZ workers doin what they can to fix these issues but I wanna see it first hand. Come one OCZ bring it! Prove your worth my money!

Looks like the units were completely bad, sometimes that happens from static discharge , or packaging being jostled around in shipping can damage units
I guess his reseller gave him a hard time to , we will be having a talk with the reseller about that

Good stuff man. I'm very pleased with the way OCZ is handling their customer service lately. It's pretty much unmatched at this point.

I have to agree OCZ's Tech support is wonderful. They went above and beyond to resolve an issue for me and in the end provided 110% of the support I expected. Kudos to OCZ.
