Need some help with Crutial products.
I cant figure out if there is a difference between these two memory sets:
Crucial Ballistix (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
and this
Crucial Ballistix Tracer (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Both can be found on Newegg. Sorry, but I cant post urls (new user). Model number: BL2KIT12864AA804 and BL2KIT12864AL804.
Aside from the really cool leds, is the hardware any different.
I know that the tracer can do 333mhz @ 3-3-3-8 2T. If the non-trace version can do the same, then I will just get that instead. I'm looking for good memory go along with an E8400, with no over clocking of the CPU. I'm trying to go energy efficient.
Can anyone point me to a review that shows how tight the timings can go on the non-tracer version, I tried looking, no luck.
THANK YOU!!!
