Memory Issue (please help)

I bought a motherboard (TH55 HD Ver. 5.x) and went to their website to see what memory is supported The website lists specific memory but can't I just use ddr3-1333 or ddr3-1600 memory of any kind not just one specific high end memory like the website wants you to buy?

Please if any of you can elaborate on this cause the motherboard manufacture recommends very expensive hard to find memory.
