:( What a day.
Well.... never thought I'd actually have this problem, but there is a distinct possibility that I may have cancer.......
Not the worst of cancers, but cancer none the less. The good news is it is highly curable caught as early as I did. I will be getting further tests for confirmation, but the doc thinks said that it doesn't look good.

Well, when something grows so rapidly and forms a mass, it pretty much has to go. Even if the tumor ends up to be benign, it isn't like I could have just kept it in there. However, 30 years ago it was 1981.... Its a little more exacting these days.
I'm not exactly worried; I probably should be but eh.... I can't do anything about it more than I am doing; I took the necessary steps.
But for you to say that Cancer is over rated, you obviously haven't watched people die of it. Your mother never had cancer; 30 years is a long time ago in medical technology terms. They got it wrong, quite obviously.
Cancer is treatable when caught early, but not all present themselves so visibly as some forms. So when they are caught, people generally die or at least go through the most pain and suffering of their entire lives.

Actualy I watched people die of it.
You need to take 2nd oppinion before taking any treatment ... seriously.
Of course it is treatable when spotted early.
Have you made biopsy ?
I wish you luck.
Hopefuly it is false alarm.

Numerous tests were done. It wasn't an infection. It wasn't a pocket of fluid. I looked at the ultra-sound. Whether it is cancer or not, it wasn't going to be staying. I was on anti-biotics; they weren't working.
A biopsy isn't something they do when cancer is even suspected. The growths that were present were clearly tumors or cysts of some kind. A biopsy could risk spreading the cancer if it indeed is cancer in this case. So no. These types of tumors are rarely non-cancerous unfortunately. And these things don't grow to kiwi size and not at least shrink a bit with proper medication.
I understand your concern, and of course I shared it. The process that has been developed over the ages are well defined.
