CompUSA has gotten better. With their selection and prices. But you have to know what you are looking for and you definitely don't want to buy complete systems from there. or Mobo's for that matter. At Best Buy, you just have to know what you want and do like BusterCaps, Lokk at the sales add and be there at the door before they open to get those " special deals" and then go straight to the manager when they tell you they are "sold Out" right after the door is open...
As far as Circuit City, I used to work there part time in the PC department and I can vouch *that many times when we got good stuff in for sales, the Department Supervisor or the store Manager would put some items aside for personal purchase even though that is forbidden by company policy. The only cool thing about CC is that many of the open box specials are returns from complete PC noobs that had no clue how to operate the damned things in the first place so you can score some really goosh stuff every once in a while...
Best time to hit CC is the week after christmas when the returns start in good.
