#$@&'n BEER Belly

shiot, i went on a couple binge-eating rampages in the last couple weeks and now my belly is stickin out like a damn traffic sign. Weird, cuz the rest of my body is pretty fit and normal looking(i exercise about 1 or 2 times a week, but i've been slacking), maybe even skinny to some people. You guys know what the best way is to work off a beer belly?? cardio? sit-ups? no more krispy kreme?

sit ups directly exercise the muscles in your stomach producing muscle from fat. also swimming is a good idea, as well as trying to eat a healthy diet of 5 portions of fruit and veg every day.

You have a few possible causes-
1. You ain't got a developed 6 pack. If you already had stomach muscles to start with then more sit-ups aren't going to do jack, but if not then yea, sit-ups will help you out.

2. Your stomach has enlarged to accommodate the daily quantity of food & beer your guzzling- just cut down on the input you fat bastard.

3. You got a lot of gas in there, which is bloating you up- a daily bowl of oats will sort it out after about 7-10 days.

4. There is a medical condition called… woah, no, you don’t want to hear that one

The cardio does work. It's probably your best bet. Don't start going to the gym and working out a lot, just go for a bike or run or rollerblade. Anything to burn off the excess calories. You'll notice the biggest difference that way. Working out will convert fat to muscle but the process is much slower.

Try cardio every second day. You'll be surprised by the results.

try instead of taking up time doing exercise replace say driving to work or whatever with something physical which will burn off calories

If wherever you drive, you drive twice as fast, you'll have a lot more time to work out. Disregard the uninformed opinion of Stealth. Building muscle will burn fat faster than just working the fast twitch fibers. The increased mass will burn more calories at rest then just running. Hit some weights and start out with simple movements. The single greatest exercise that will increase your testosterone levels and work the most muscle is the squat. Squats hits your quads, glutes, and lower back directly. Indirectly, it hits your abs, sides, traps, delts, calves, hip flexors, and groin. THAT will burn off that gut fast. Or, you could go on the special Diet Private course for 13 weeks at MCRD San Diego. See a USMC recruiter near you.

Try eating 1500 calories a day. If you prepare food right thats actually quite a bit of food so you won't be hungry.

Or you could go on the "geek/hacker" diet, witch usualy consist's
of one (1) package of raman noodles (flavor of your choice) OR one (1) bowl (medium size) cereal of your choice, DAILY. nothing more.... but the good part is you can have as much caffiene as you like! mass quanity's of diet coke usualy fits this area, or other diet varietys like mdew ect... but NO pepsi, diet or other. pepsi has been known to kill the brain cells of the elite "geek/hacker" and in severe cases (since diet pepsi has sometimes been compared to drinking hairspray) DEATH! BEWARE!!!!1

I lost 60 lbs in two months using this method and a year later, I haven't gained any back.
