Question X9100 in desktop PC; is it feasible?

Hi all! I know it is weird, but I want to know is it possible: since I can't use it in its full potential in my laptop (i.e. I have to keep it under 2.8 GHz, because it gets too hot at higher multipliers, even after undervolting), I'm thinking of using my x9100 in some sort of desktop configuration
Can it be done? What MB should I use?

Thank you for your ideas and thoughts!

Unfortunately, for now, i do not think it is possible. The chip itself is made for socket 478, laptop edition, and is not supported by anything out there on the desktop platform.

well what he could do is build a mini tower using the original motherboard but then again im assuming he needs the laptop. My suggestion would be to take open the laptop and replace the original heatsink compound with AS5 and buy a cooling pad which should all together cost no more than $20
