... bet the issue is not the PSU? have you done anything with your memory? PC3200/DDR400 memory struggles above 225 FSB (I know there is an exception to every rule ) without playing with voltages. I had a similar problem which was sorted by using a divider and then by changing my memory. I can now just about do 255 FSB - but don't like the heat. Chances are your CPU or PSU is not the limiter but memory is. IMHO ![]()

Not required, but it would be nice if you do post them.

I'd like to clear this one up - the Jeantech died within seconds, not hours. 300W Jeantech unit... 16A on +12 my arse. Couldn't power 2 5400RPM hard drives and a stock 6800LE. What a POS. Mr Adams - replace that Jeantech. They're decieving units because they do look and feel like decent PSU's (long cables, quite heavy) but they are actually not good at all. The only giveaway is the cheap-as-a-very-cheap-thing rocker switch on the back. From now on I'll use that as a measure of quality, too - a nice switch which properly clicks between on and off is a good sign. As a side note, dual PSU is the future. Believe it. |
