New Intel CPU's for 2008

Bball made this available to me through another forum making a valid point why I should not pick up an X6800 ES CPU.

Thought it would be proper to show this here.

Hmm, missing the Q9350 = 12MB L2, 2.33GHz 1333FSB

Also I believe if 9300 exists, it will be 2.33GHz as well.

So I would wait for the Q9300 which is faster than the Q6600 imo (am I right??). Was good that the custom PC that I am building is to start as from next Jan

The chart also doesnt mention the QX9775, which is the same as the QX9770 although in the LGA771 socket for the Skulltrail platform...although I cant imagine many people wanna drop $3,000 on both cpus that platform requires

And a 2.33ghz 12mb L2 quad core for under $300 would certainly be nice, the Q6600 currently fits that price point very well

that makes me wonder what the hell AMD are doing have they been asleep for the last 6months??? i havent heard any news on anything big there releasing...maybe keeping it a secret

im current also trying to decide if i should get a Q6600 so i can play games over the holidays or wait till jan till 9300 comes out...

does anyone know if there coming in early or late january?? i might wait if its at new years..

This could spell doom for AMD ( gone were the days when AMD used to rule with theirs X2 dual core ) - I wonder how will AMD actually counter this!!!

By the way, did any of you thinks that the processor is way too expensive - $1399?

Ya lol, only a few noobs will buy it, but it's just so Intel can claim a massive performance crown.

And Stang is right, 12mb cache for $300, sigh what news.

Hopefully AMD can scale Penryn fast enough to cope with this...

Their whole new line should be out within the month... Their duals, tricores and quadcores all should be out by q1 2008 as well..

Damn this e6600! at least it gets me core 2 for dirtcheap.. but it may be getting replaced sometime soon...

.. I doubt it will kick its ass.. but I do think it will at least be able to keep up.. at least on the lower, less expensive portion of the market, like they are currently doing.

This is it for AMD. Intel can take several hits, but AMD doesn't have that power. If they don't either get a more competitive processor out, or their acquisition of ATI doesn't get a profit, it is very likely they could go under.

Now thats a bad thing for us.
