Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor Performance Comparison

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8400 (3M Cache, 2.26 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) vs. an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, 2.2GHz, 800Mhz FSB 4M L2 Cache. My Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, 2.2GHz, 800Mhz FSB 4M L2 Cache is being replaced with a Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8400 (3M Cache, 2.26 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB). I realize that the processor is slightly faster, however will it perform as well with a smaller cache. Could these be considered equivalent to each other in performance....my warranty guarantees an equivalent or better product replacement?

Yes the 8400 is a newer process (45nm) so it is smaller, runs cooler and has better performance. The main performance increase on a laptop will be from the increased bus speed.
