Rules for the Hot Deals Forum

Welcome to the DevHardware community!

As you may guess from the name of this site, we are a hardware site. Therefore there are a few rules of professional conduct that we implement around here.

1. This section is for discussing issues concerning HOT DEALS ONLY. If unsure, PM one of the moderators for the correct forum to post your topic in.
2. This is a Hot Deals forum...No outside discussions (e.g. what's the name of your dog, what's the color of your car, or what's your favorite food)
3. There will be zero tolerance for the following occurrences:
   1. Soliciting (e.g. distributing information attributing to your personal gain and not being helpful to any of the members of the forum)
   2. Spamming (e.g. posting a large amount of useless info that clutters up web space and creates confusion
   3. Abusive language up to and including harassment, discrimination and plain belittling other members of the forum.
   
   WARNING: If you are caught doing the above, there will be an action taken immediately depending on severity of the offense. Minor offense will mean Warning that will impose 5 points on your rating, 10 points will get your name banned for a short period of time. If the offense is determined to be a large one, your name might be permanently banned without restoration.
   
   
4. Furthermore, I would like to note that all your posts are subject to an edit if, in fact, an abuse of the rules is found.
5. This forum is for deals around the web found on COMPANY websites, such as www.newegg.com, www.eglobalci.com, or hell, even www.dell.com if you find something worthwhile there. Do not post stuff being sold by individuals on eBay, or by you yourself. That's for the Trading Post forum.
6. In an effort to reduce spam/scam a user must have been a member for 90 days and have 100 posts before posting in this forum.

Off the record: We are here to help, talk, chat and have fun. If an argument sparks (which happens often), the members should take it to the flame forum immediately and not pollute any hardware section with it.
